We invite a dedicated and compassionate Nocturnist Physician to join our established hospitalist team in Boston. This full-time position provides an excellent balance of admissions and inpatient care, with opportunities for teaching and academic appointment. Our program offers strong peer support, reasonable patient volumes, and a collaborative environment designed to help you thrive.
Position Highlights:
Full-time, hospital-employed position
Weekdays: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekends: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (with one shift extending to 7:30 AM)
One daytime weekend shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (covering 10 patients)
Average 12 shifts per month
Typical load: 4–5 admissions per shift with cross-coverage of 30–40 patients
Team-based care with 9 nocturnists per night and sick-call backup coverage

Competitive base salary: $265,000+ for new graduates; salary increases with experience

Requirements:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Completion of an accredited residency program
Eligible for Massachusetts medical license
Hospitalist experience preferred, but not required
